Social Events
During the year, the Parents Club organizes events to gather St. Mary's Academy families together. All events serve our Parents Club mission which is to promote St. Mary's Academy by providing activities that inspire spiritual growth, school spirit and social unity.
Welcome Back Family Picnic @ Lysander Park (9/8/11):
This event kicks off the school year by inviting St. Mary's Academy families to be together and share their excitement for the new school year.
School Marathon (9/23/11):
Students at St. Mary's Academy in grades Kindergarten through 6 started the school year on the right foot. Each year, the students hold a "marathon" to raise money for the school. Children collect pledges and then go on a marathon walk through the village. They are adorned with blue and white balloons. The marathon not only raises money for the school, it is great exercise for the students! This year, the marathon raised just under $3,000.
Curriculum Night (9/28/11):
This parents only event is held for parents to meet your child's teachers, learn about the expectations for your child and find out ways that you can help him/her have a successful year.
Halloween Dance (10/29/11):
Our first Halloween Dance was a huge success! Thank you to all those that made it happen!
Spaghetti Dinner (12/3/11):
Thank you to all that attended our annual Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, December 3rd from 5:00 - 7:30pm. The Santa's Workshop was opened for the children to purchase small Christmas gifts for the special people on their Christmas list! Also, an array of holiday baked goods was available for purchase. Our newly designed SMA Spirit Wear was also on display and available for purchase. It was a great success and we look forward to another successful event next year!
Family Movie Night (12/9/11):
Our first Family Movie Night had a great showing and lots of kids enjoyed the two movies: Veggie Tales Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Popcorn and lemonade was served during each movie followed by cookies and hot chocolate! We look forward to doing this again next year!
Christmas Concert Cookie Social (12/15/11):

Thank you to everyone for a successful and joyous Grandparents Mass and Brunch. It was truly a touching event shared by all who attended.
Pancake Breakfast with Easter Bunny (3/25/12):
Thank you to all our adult volunteers as well as our Confirmation students who helped with this fun event! The children enjoyed the Easter Bunny and everyone enjoyed the yummy desserts. A special thank you to all our bakers!
